Bedroom Bondage Rope Workshop

This rope bondage workshop will be a hands-on class with active participation.  The workshop is fully inclusive open to all genders. The workshop is intended for beginners taking their first steps into rope bondage or individuals wanting to dive deeper into rope bondage fundamentals.

 

We will briefly analyze basic principles of erotic rope bondage. We will focus on two different tools used to immobilize our partners. 

 

1. single column tie = a rope cuff anchored to a hardpoint​

2. double column tie = tie two limbs together

 

After that, we will apply these tools in different ways. We will use these simple building blocks to immobilize our partner in a myriad of hot and erotic positions for both inside bedroom and out in the dungeon.

Required Equipment

• 1 - 4 hanks of rope between 15-30ft in length
• Rope will be available for purchase in the online registration 
• Chairs and yoga mats are provided

​Instructor

Shibari Shawn is the owner of the House of Knotty, Seattle's gay shibari studio. He is a gay kinbaku artist and rope bondage educator based out of Seattle. He is one of the co-organizers of RopeLab: Seattle, a monthly men’s rope group for intermediate to advanced riggers tying on the masculine form. He is an associate member of the Chicago Hellfire Club and member of the education committee for the MenRopingMen conference.
